January/February Weather
Late January is usually the coldest time of year. Precipitation is at its annual minimum during these two months.
March/April Weather
Temperatures start to rise rapidly with the start of spring. Precipitation amounts increase rapidly and March can be known for its heavy snows with rain and thunderstorms towards the end of the month. Thunderstorm activity increases during April.
May/June Weather
As spring continues so does the rapid warming trend. Precipitation reaches its annual maximum in June.
July/August Weather
Summer is at its peak with temps reaching their annual maximums in the middle – late July. Rainfall amounts decrease slightly during these summer months. Thunderstorms are mostly localized and can be occasionally severe with hail and strong winds.
September/October Weather
September brings in the autumn weather, average temps begin to decrease at approx. 1/4° per day in early September and up to 1/2° by late October. September is usually as wet or wetter than August and October is dryer with Indian summer weather usually experienced during this month.
November/December Weather
Late autumn and early winter continues the rapid drop in average temps. Precipitation in the form of snow usually happens in the latter part of November. December precipitation usually drops off from Novembers.
